Sumario: | Augmented renal clearance (ARC) is a phenomenon that has been described mainly in critically ill patients and is characterized by increased creatinine clearance and elimination of renally cleared medications that could place patients at risk of therapeutic failure. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to an overwhelming number of ICU admissions with many reports of the impact of COVID-19 on the kidney. This report aims to increase clinician awareness of, and risk factors for ARC in patients with COVID-19, especially in comparison to other critical illnesses. |
