description The concept of the information and communication nature of the COVID-19 virus is presented, based on the results of research conducted by the author in the field of social communication. Some provisions of the author’s theory of information viruses and their ability to influence the human body and large masses of the population are considered. It is proposed to consider the mechanism of the influence of coronavirus on the population as intersystem communication of the resonant field type.
