Sumario:Coronavirus disease 2019 is a current public health problem that has caused more than 100,000 deaths in Colombia and around 4.13 million deaths worldwide. The acute respiratory distress syndrome secondary to this viral infection can lead to a series of complications such as pneumomediastinum, which is rare but potentially fatal and is related to mechanical ventilation. We present a case series of 10 patients who were admitted to the intensive care unit requiring invasive mechanical ventilation and developed pneumomediastinum. Largest case series reported to date.
