Sumario: | Testicular cancer is one of the most curable cancers. However, the course of the disease largely depends on the clinical stage at diagnosis, and there are still cases where the tumor size is large, which makes surgical treatment challenging. A 30-year-old man presented with painless, extremely enlarged scrotum. A CT scan revealed a tumor of the right testis of 21.5 × 15 × 18cm in size. The patient underwent a right orchiectomy and histologic examination revealed teratocarcinoma. Suspicion of hydrocele testis should prompt meticulous differential diagnosis including malignancies. There is a strong need to increase public awareness in terms of symptoms of testicular cancer. |
