Sumario:This protocol describes how to generate lung organoids from human embryonic stem cells. Lung organoids form by self-assembly in Matrigel and contain lung epithelial cell types. The protocol presented in this study is simple and only uses 6 cytokines or small molecules. This protocol provides a promising tool to study human lung development, drug screening, regeneration, and disease modeling in vitro. For complete details on the use and execution of this protocol, please refer to Chen et al. (2018).
