Transition-metal-catalyzed remote C–H functionalization of thioethers

In the last decade, transition-metal-catalyzed direct C–H bond functionalization has been recognized as one of most efficient approaches for the derivatization of thioethers. Within this category, both mono- and bidentate-directing group strategies achieved the remote C(sp(2))–H and C(sp(3))–H funct...

Sumario:In the last decade, transition-metal-catalyzed direct C–H bond functionalization has been recognized as one of most efficient approaches for the derivatization of thioethers. Within this category, both mono- and bidentate-directing group strategies achieved the remote C(sp(2))–H and C(sp(3))–H functionalization of thioethers, respectively. This review systematically introduces the major advances and their mechanisms in the field of transition-metal-catalyzed remote C–H functionalization of thioethers from 2010 to 2021.
