description Two new species belonging to the varius group of Coccophagus, C.breviclavulussp. nov. and C.perlucidussp. nov., are described from Xishuangbanna Rainforest (China, Yunnan). Coccophagusanchoroides (Huang) and C.yunnana Wang, Huang & Polaszek are recorded. A tentative key to world species of this group is provided. Partial nuclear ribosomal 28S-D2 of these four species and other six species were sequenced and subjected to a phylogenetic analysis. Phylogeny of C.varius group is discussed.
