Sumario: | Endoleaks are a common complication in patients who have undergone endovascular stent-graft repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms. The management of these complications depends on the type of endoleak seen at follow-up imaging, with embolization being generally accepted treatment option for Type 2 endoleaks in certain clinical scenarios. Endovascular endoleak embolization can be arduous, time-consuming, and require large amounts of iodinated contrast during the angiographic procedure. This article describes a novel use of contrast-enhanced ultrasound as a clinical problem-solving tool in the preprocedural planning of patient undergoing an endoleak embolization. |
