Elderly people are often neglected by their families. Diabetes and hypertension are the most common non-communicable diseases found in elderly. So, it is necessary to study the clinical profile of Hypertension and diabetes in elderly. Aims and Objectives: To determine the prevalence of hypertension and diabetes in elderly people above60years of age. To determine the cause of admission for the elderly patients. Results: A total of 50 patients admitted to ward of our hospital were studied. 40 patients were having Hba1c above 9%, they were poorly controlled due to poor compliance and negligence.30 were male and 20 were female patients. 35 were above 70 years of age while 15 were between 60-70 years of age. 20 patients had hypertension alone, 10 had diabetes alone, and 20 had both. CVA was seen in 25, CAD in 20, CKD in 15 and diabetic foot in 10 patients. Conclusion: Awareness among elderly people on the need for early detection and regular treatment of diabetes and hypertension is poor. 70% patients were above 70 years of age. 60% were males and 40% were females.
