Sumario:Female infertility occurs in about 37% of all infertile couples and is upto 50% of them could have ovulatory disorders. Common causes of anovulation include polycystic ovarian syndrome, hypothalamic amenorrhea or premature ovarian insufficiency. Very rarely, women with disorders of sex development do not present until later age with this complaint. Here, we describe two cases of women with underlying endocrine conditions, with first presentation of primary infertility. Case 1 was diagnosed with premature ovarian insufficiency, adrenal insufficiency and subclinical hypothyroidism. Case 2 was diagnosed with 46 XY gonadal dysgenesis. Both women underwent Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) after optimisation of their endocrine conditions and successfully conceived. With this, we would like to emphasise the importance of endocrine evaluation of women presenting with primary infertility.
