The north-eastern region was presumed comparatively a safe haven for women but some violent appalling incidences especially during the corona lockdown has raised a serious question to the claim. Handling victims of violence needs additional expertise, patience, tolerance and a lot of sensitivity. The authors hereby will share their experience in this line of work and offer valuable tips that can be adopted to prevent further alleviating the plight of the victims and aid them efficiently to tide over their anguish.
