description INTRODUCTION: Electroconvulsive Therapy is an efficaceous and safe treatment for various psychiatric disorders, such as severe depression, bipolar disorder, catatonia, schizophrenia etc. It has been consistently shown that ECT is superior when compared with simulated ECT, placebo, or psychotroic medications. Despite this, the knowledge regarding ECT is low and there is negative attitude around. AIM: Comparative study of knowledge and attitude of medical, psychology and nursing students towards ECT OBJECTIVES : Among medical, psychology and nursing students; • To assess the knowledge and attitudes towards ECT • To compare the knowledge and attitude towards ECT among the three groups METHODOLOGY: :This study received approval from Ethics Committee. The sample consisted medical, psychological and nursing students. Through google forms sociodemographic data was collected and Knowledge and Attitude towards ECT was assessed through a questionnaire(Sharma et al 2017). Data is analysed using SPSS software and compared. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS: Our study showed medical students have more knowledge and better attitude than other two groups. However, there is a positive correlation between knowledge and attitude regarding ECT.
