description INTRODUCTION: COVID 19 possess a serious threat to the physical as well as the mental health.COVID 19 has negatively affected mental health and increased the incidence of psychological crisis.Historically, telepsychiatry has experienced a substantial evolutionary period with the expansion of the internet.The development of telepsychiatry will likely be viewed in the future in terms of the eras of before,during,and after COVID 19. AIM: To study the psychiatric morbidity in COVID affected patients through telepsychiatry. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This was a retrospective chart review of data collected from April 2020 to June 2021 through audio only telephone calls.The COVID positive and suspect COVID patients admitted in different wards and Intensive care unit at Kilpauk Medical College Hospital,Chennai were included in the study.All the patients were given Patient Health Questionnaire(PHQ-9) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder(GAD-7) by trained investigators.Appropriate statistical analysis done and results are obtained. The Results will be discusssed at the time of presentation.
