description | INTRODUCTION: Cotard’s syndrome is characterised by extreme kind of nihilistic delusions. In this condition a person believe that he has no organs, he is not alive and is a dead man. Usually occur in severe depression. AIM: To present a case where a patient believe that he is dead and is continuously searching for his soul and for that he is restless, agitated and wander from place to place. DISCUSSION: Cotard’s syndrome is frequently reported in settings of depressive symptoms with decrease energy, decreased psychomotor activity and hopelessness. In our case patients is restless, agitated, has increased motor activity and have a purpose of searching his soul. CONCLUSION: Patient with severe depressive disorder with cotard’s delusion can present with atypical presentations. |
