The Creative Works of Satyajit Ray: A Psychiatrist’s Perspective

Speaker 1: The first speaker would introduce the topic by outlining the creative works of Satyajit Ray, including his movies, the short stories and novels featuring Feluda, and Sandesh, the children’s magazine edited by him. The speaker would also briefly outline the life of Satyajit Ray to bring out the aspects which could be of special interest to a mental health professional. The first speaker would also conclude the symposium by highlighting the nuances unearthed by the preceding speakers. Speaker 2: The second speaker would talk about the movies directed by Satyajit Ray and talk of the aspects which are of relevance to mental health. He would also comment on how well/poorly the great director has portrayed different aspects of mental health on screen. Speaker 3: The third speaker would highlight other creative works of Satyajit Ray(besides movies) with respect to the scope and extent of mental health.
