Sumario:The environment where workers perform their activities and the way the work is accomplished can harm workers’ health. This study aimed to discuss the systematization of nursing care in occupational health by means of a theoretical, reflective essay on this topic. The discussion was supported by three guiding points: occupational health nursing; the role of occupational health nurses; and the applicability of the systematization of nursing care in occupational health. Occupational health nurses should have adequate technical-scientific knowledge and use the systematization of nursing care as an instrument in their work processes.
