This study aimed to discuss the systematization of nursing care in occupational health by means of a theoretical, reflective essay on this topic. The discussion was supported by three guiding points: occupational health nursing; the role of occupational health nurses; and the applicability of the systematization of nursing care in occupational health. Occupational health nurses should have adequate technical-scientific knowledge and use the systematization of nursing care as an instrument in their work processes.
