However only a limited number of such studies have included the first-person perspective of Parents. The aim of this article is to understand the contribution of previous research on parental perspectives in pediatric palliative care through a systematic review of literature. Nine articles that met the inclusion criteria were accessed and seven key themes emerged; Psychological perspective, parental concerns, parental needs, parental attitude, spiritual perspective, cultural perspective and financial perspective. This review highlights requirement of more research into parental perspective if possible, covering all key aspects along with additional research in cultural perspective and development of validated tools, checklists and psychometric questionnaires for the assessment of these perspectives in various domains: spiritual, financial, psychological, cultural and social.
