Sumario:Hospital web pages serve as an interactive communication resource to meet the needs of patients, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders. The aim of this study is to present the accessibility analysis of 58 university hospital websites in Turkey. For this purpose, websites of the selected university hospitals were analyzed using two different online automated testing tools. The results showed that university hospital websites in Turkey had low compliance levels according to the WCAG 2.0 guidelines. Most of the websites did not even meet the minimum requirements for compliance level A. In addition, almost all of the websites had broken links and about a third of the websites had problems with accessing from mobile devices. Moreover, some important clues that draw attention to the accessibility problems of websites are also discussed in this study. Hence, the results of this study provide feedback to developers and administrators to improve the accessibility of these websites.
