Sumario: | Radiation therapy for broncho-pulmonary malignancies can lead to fistula formation between the digestive and respiratory tracts. Treatment options have been largely palliative in nature. Here, we report a combined pneumonectomy and esophagectomy, followed by staged retrosternal gastric pull-up esophageal reconstruction, for treatment of a broncho-esophageal fistula with good functional outcomes following reconstruction. |
