Sumario:We present the genome sequences of 18 Streptococcus isolates from 8 different dietary supplements and 9 cultured food products. Strains from this species naturally colonize the human mouth and upper respiratory tract. Studies have shown that S. thermophilus and S. salivarius strains confer oral health benefits to their host with little to no risk of pathogenic infection.
