description | The primary aim of the current study is to identify the effect of chameleon leadership behaviors on the innovative behavior of staff in the health sector in the Sultanate of Oman, and examining if job security plays a mediating role in the relationship between chameleon leadership and innovative behavior. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 282 employees working in healthcare organizations in Oman. The PLS-SEM methodology was performed used to test the proposed hypotheses. The results indicated that chameleon leadership behaviors (external control, and relativistic beliefs) have no effect on innovative behavior but have a positive effect of external control on job security. Moreover, job security has a direct positive impact on innovative behavior. In addition, the results showed that job security is not a factor in the relationship between chameleon leadership behaviors and innovative behavior. The study contributes to providing a deferent perspective to explore the behaviors of chameleon leadership in the Omani health sector to provide security and accelerating innovative systems to support a stable work environment. |
