description There are currently no strategies available on how to deal with Long-COVID (COVID „coronavirus disease“). COVID-19 vaccination could be both a preemptive and a therapeutic option for the future. The evaluation of the available studies is complicated by varying definitions. There are, however, indications that (complete) COVID-19 vaccination is able not only to prevent symptomatic infection but also to reduce the risk of Long-COVID. In some patients with Long-COVID, symptoms are modified after (first and/or second) COVID-19 vaccination; however, there is no clear evidence for a real therapeutic effect on Long-COVID.
