Cell-imprinted substrates: in search of nanotopographical fingerprints that guide stem cell differentiation

Cell-imprinted substrates direct stem cell differentiation into various lineages, suggesting the idea of lineage-specific nanotopography. We herein examined the surface topography of five different imprinted cell patterns using AFM imaging and statistical analysis of amplitude, spatial, and hybrid r...

description Cell-imprinted substrates direct stem cell differentiation into various lineages, suggesting the idea of lineage-specific nanotopography. We herein examined the surface topography of five different imprinted cell patterns using AFM imaging and statistical analysis of amplitude, spatial, and hybrid roughness parameters. The results suggest that different cell imprints possess distinguished nanotopographical features.
