Sumario: | The title solvated molecular salt, [MeGluVIm]I (MeGluVIm = 1-(methyl-α-d-glucopyranosid-6-yl)-3-vinylimidazolium), or C(12)H(19)N(2)O(5) (+)·I(−)·C(3)H(7)NO, was synthesized from methyl-α-d-6-iodoglucopyranoside and vinylimidazole in DMF. It crystallizes through precipitation from ethyl acetate solution directly after the reaction procedure. The crystal structure consists of an iodide anion and a [MeGluVIm] cation. Furthermore, the crystal structure contains one molecule of DMF, which accepts two O—H⋯H hydrogen bonds from the OH groups of the glucopyranoside. [Image: see text] |
