Sumario:The title compound, [Co(2)(C(7)H(4)NO(4))(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)(4)](C(7)H(4)NO(4))(2), consists of a centrosymmetric bimetallic complex charge-balanced by free 4-nitro­benzoate anions. The Co(II) ion exhibits a distorted cis-CoN(2)O(4) octa­hedral coordination environment and the Co⋯Co separation is 3.326 (2) Å.
