Sumario: | In the title compound, [NiFe(2)(C(5)H(5))(C(9)H(5)F(3)O(2))(2)(C(2)H(6)O)(2)], the central Ni(II) ion is observed in an octahedral coordination environment. The chelating β-diketonate ligands are substituted by ferrocene, a lipophilic organometallic moiety. The ferrocene groups have the normal geometry, with eclipsed cyclopentadiene rings. Coordinated ethanol molecules are engaged in intermolecular hydrogen bonds, and the crystal is further stabilized by weak C—H⋯F and C—H⋯π contacts. [Image: see text] |
