description Active visualization, the use of dynamic representation of internal processes, is associated with increased knowledge and adherence to ART among people living with HIV. The current pilot intervention study tested the effectiveness of an online visualization for HIV prevention among 146 at-risk youth. Youth were randomized to a standard PrEP briefing or an online visualization. PrEP knowledge, attitudes, and uptake were self-reported at baseline and 3-months. Knowledge of PrEP increased, but there were no changes in preferences or uptake. Active visualization delivered online may be a useful educational tool for PrEP but not for shifting youth's uptake.
