description Urethral strictures are an uncommon pathology in women that present novel challenges in diagnosis and treatment. We present a case of a 35 year-old female who presented with a 9 year history of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) who was found to have a distal urethral stricture. Though rare, urethral strictures should be considered on the differential for women suffering from chronic LUTS. There are many potential treatment options, and stricturotomy may be considered as a definitive management option without need for flaps or grafts with urethroplasty.
