description The ongoing challenging task in the field of nasal drug delivery is the maintenance of an efficient concentration of the active substance in the target area for an adequate period of time. Thus, there is an urgent need to develop effective new strategies for drug delivery to the nose, using cutting edge technology and materials for this particular type of drug delivery. This review gives an account of the critical components of nasal drug delivery and the parameters influencing drug absorption in the nose, including the excipients required for modified drug administration.
