Quality improvement methodology was used during nurse telephone triage at an outpatient pediatric clinic to standardize nurse documentation to align with the GAS guidelines. This pilot project’s standardization resulted in improved communication among clinicians and decreased unnecessary resource and antibiotic use despite encountering barriers related to COVID-19.
