Sumario:Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) can be induced by recent or concomitant infections. Many infectious agents are postulated to be associated with this condition. Treatment of infection induced AIHA still varies. This report describes a previously healthy Thai boy who developed AIHA associated with enterovirus-71 infection. He was successfully treated with oral prednisone.
