description The electrochemical reaction of amines, nitriles, amides, nitroaromatics, and imines has been proven to be a valuable method for the synthesis of various nitrogen-containing organic compounds. Synthetic uses of electrochemical methods for organic transformations of amines, nitriles, imines, and amides to heterocylic compounds and coupling products are discussed. This review aims to demonstrate the ongoing application of electrosynthesis in the preparation of various classes of organic compounds. Furthermore, to address the recent collective articles, this review also describes and summarizes manuscripts on the electrochemical reactions of amines, nitriles, amides, and imines from 2015 until today.
