Sumario: | BACKGROUND: Upper arm lymphedema is a common complication one year after breast cancer surgery, which profoundly impacts patients' quality of life. CASE SUMMARY: We reported a case of lymphedema induced by prolonged sun exposure 11 years after breast cancer surgery. CONCLUSION: Breast screening, patient education and follow-up after hospital discharge could help to prevent upper-arm lymphedema. |
