Sumario:The advances in knowledge about the association between personality and neuropathology in Alzheimer’s disease have been highlighted. This research is oriented to the evaluation of personality changes in the screening of axis II personality disorders in Alzheimer’s disease. The investigation was managed with four groups to whom were applied the PDQ-4+ in individual interviews. Some results are in line with the state-of-the-art review and we also provide new research data. A higher global personality disorder index and greater incidence of clusters C (anxious) and A (odd/eccentric) are confirmed as personality changes. Interpretive possibilities of the data and their implications for the study of psychopathology changes in Alzheimer’s disease are discussed.
