Sumario:This article examines and compares the incidence and prevalence of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and suicide, among adolescents before and during the coronavirus disease-2019 pandemic. It discusses contributing factors, clinical presentation, screening tools, treatment options, and implications for advance practice nurses. This article prepares the advance practice nurse to promote mental wellness and identify, screen for, and appropriately manage emerging mental health issues in this vulnerable population.
