Skeletal muscle atrophy is associated with many diseases including cancer, inflammatory diseases, neuromuscular diseases, and acute critical illness. Justicia procumbens L. has been used as a herbal remedy, but the pharmacological effect of J. procumbens on muscle atrophy has not yet been reported....
