Here, we present a patient whose lung lesion was in a deep central area and at the borders of three segments in the upper lobe of the right lung. We used combined subsegmentectomy (S1b + S3a) video‐assisted thoracoscopic surgery for this small‐sized lung cancer in a deep central location.
