Sumario:The current COVID-19 pandemic is compelling tourism and hospitality providers to invest heavily into a wide array of non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs - e.g., social distancing, sanitization, health checks, etc.) aiming to protect their customer, employees, and communities from virus infection. However, extant NPIs research over the past 20 years has been fragmented, leaving tourism and hospitality providers with little guidance on which NPIs to incorporate in their offerings during pandemics. To aid tourism and hospitality providers make better NPIs investment decisions, this research employs a hedonic modeling approach to evaluate the extent to which a comprehensive set of NPIs, implemented to varying extents by almost 10,000 hotels across nine countries in the Mediterranean Sea affect room prices.
