Sumario: | Cardiac hemangiomas are very rare benign cardiac tumors. They can present at any age and clinical presentation varies according to location and size. We encountered an 87-year-old woman with a left atrial hemangioma clinically diagnosed as cardiac myxoma. Histopathological examination revealed that it was a cavernous-type hemangioma Left atrial hemangiomas, especially those attached to the left atrium wall, may be mistakenly diagnosed as myxomas. Furthermore, a comprehensive review of atrial hemangioma was conducted for the diagnosis and treatment of this uncommon entity. |
