Sumario: | Positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) is increasingly becoming a mainstay in diagnosis and management of many malignant disorders. However, its role in the assessment of gastro-intestinal lesions is still evolving. The aim of this review was to demonstrate the areas, where PET/CT is impactful and where it has limitations. This will allow for us to reduce unnecessary investigations and develop methods to overcome the limitations. |
