Sumario: | Pregnant and lactating women continue to have some of the lowest levels of vaccine uptake despite COVID-19 vaccine recommendations. It is important to consider why COVID-19 vaccine uptake has lagged counter to robust evidence on vaccine benefits, including concerns about vaccine safety and effectiveness. In this column, I present a summary of research findings, limitations, future directions, and a compilation of guidelines and recommendations from professional and governmental organizations. |
