Sumario:During the Corona pandemic, parents had to accompany and support their children’s learning more intensively than usual. Additional challenges arose from the fact that the exceptional situation was not only limited to a few weeks, but extended over more than a year. The study presented here explores the question of what resources and problems there were in remote schooling from the parents’ point of view. For this purpose, parents of primary school pupils were interviewed at two different points in time during the pandemic. The longitudinal design made it possible to record changes and continuities. The study shows that both characteristics of the family and characteristics of the school played a central role in coping with the situation. Especially for families with few resources of their own, supportive school factors played a central role. These were mainly in the form of student-oriented teaching, which enabled the children to work on tasks independently.
