Sumario: | The main purpose of our research was to further clarify the effectiveness and potential pathophysiological principles of metabolic resuscitation therapy in critically ill patients with sepsis and septic shock. We found that metabolic resuscitation therapy is beneficial for patients with sepsis and septic shock, shortening the length of intensive care unit (ICU) stay, reducing the duration of vasopressor use, and reducing the ICU mortality rate of patients with sepsis and septic shock, but it does not reduce the hospital mortality rate. |
