Sumario: | Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory bowel condition. One of the theories for its etiopathogenesis is gastrointestinal infections. Although COVID-19 primarily affects the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal involvement is also common. We have reported a case of a 28-year-old male who presented with bloody diarrhea, diagnosed with acute severe ulcerative colitis, triggered by COVID-19 infection after known triggers were excluded. |
