description Acute Suppurative Thyroiditis (AST) is a rare, but potentially fatal emergency in the pediatric age group. With a mortality of 3.7% to 9% in AST, it is imperative to make a timely diagnosis and start treatment accordingly. In this case report, we discuss a case of thyroid abscess in a six-year-old, which was diagnosed on ultrasonography (USG)(machine: GE logic 9 USG, Milwaukee) and Contrast-Enhanced Computed Tomography (CECT) (machine: 32 slice GE revolution act machine, Milwaukee) of the neck.
