description INTRODUCTION: In some rural hospitals with limited resources, most meniscal tears are often untreated. A simple, low-cost option for meniscal repair or partial meniscectomy has been developed as an alternative with good results. METHODS: We explain some techniques for meniscus tear treatment based on literature reviews and expert experiences. The techniques include with or without an arthroscopy setting, with or without a meniscus device, and limited supporting infrastructure such as MRI. CONCLUSION: Meniscus tear can be managed adequately in limited resources setting with some conditions. Good diagnosis and evaluation are important before deciding on the technique.
