Sumario:More women with mechanical mitral valves (MMVs) are pursuing pregnancy. Guidelines exist for pregnancy anticoagulation, but they do not address individualized anticoagulation during delivery—a period of risk for bleeding, thrombosis, and anesthetic complications.
