923por Salin, P“…Considers three aspects of two-body photoproduction reactions: vector meson production as a tool to investigate properties of diffractive reactions; the occurrence of a possible J=0 fixed pole in the Compton amplitude; and pseudoscalar meson photoproduction. (73 refs).…”

(2) Using an advanced target, e.g., W-granules, rotating wheel, slicedrod converter, or liquid metal jet, for converting gamma rays to e+. (3) Selecting the most powerful of several proposed gamma sources, namely Compton ERL, Compton storage ring, coherent pair production in a strong laser, or high-field undulator radiation from the high-energy lepton beam. …”

929por Mukherjee, Maitreyee“…Precise measurement of yields coming from small-x, small-Q2 gluons are essential to understand these effects which have a significant contribution to the suppressions observed in A+A collisions at RHIC and LHC. The inverse Compton process q+q→γ+q→γ+h is one of the few which can access and provide information on the gluon x and Q2 in the region where nPDFs are not well constrained. …”

930“…In lattice QCD it is possible, in principle, to determine the parameters in the effective chiral lagrangian (including weak interaction couplings) by performing numerical simulations in the $\epsilon$--regime, i.e. at quark masses where the physical extent of the lattice is much smaller than the Compton wave length of the pion. The use of a formulation of the lattice theory that preserves chiral symmetry is attractive in this context, but the numerical implementation of any such approach requires special care in this kinematical situation due to the presence of some very low eigenvalues of the Dirac operator. …”

940“…By comparing our results with existing collider bounds, we see that the ALP search at the CLIC has a great physics potential of searching for the ALPs, especially, in the mass region 1TeV-2.4 TeV, with the collision energy $ \sqrt{s} $ = 3000 GeV and integrated luminosity L = 5000 fb$^{-1}$ for the Compton backscattered initial photons. In particular, our limits are stronger than recently obtained bounds for the ALP production in the light-by-light scattering at the LHC.…”
