By comparing the HOMO (E(H)) and the LUMO (E(L)) energies from the results obtained demonstrates that dye D has the highest E(L) energy value of −2.48 eV with a relatively lowest E(H) energy value of −5.63 eV such that it lies underneath the conduction band edge of TiO(2) which is necessary to enable charge regeneration. …”
